Always something fun happening at Fat Cat Cafe!

The Fat Cat Cafe opened in 2017 as Tallahassee’s first cat cafe! Like other cat cafes across the country, Fat Cat hasn’t had time for even a short cat nap since. In the six years since opening,  Fat Cat has found permanent homes for nearly 1,400 cats! Fat Cat Cafe also has the distinction of being Tallahassee’s only non-profit cat cafe, which means all resources are directed to the mission of finding homes for rescue kitties.

Tallahassee: Cat Cafe Capital of Florida

It’s only fitting that Florida’s capital city has a cat cafe, even two! With two cat cafes, Tallahassee is not just the capital of the Sunshine State, but the Cat Cafe Capital! You will also want to check out the sister endeavor to Fat Cat Cafe: Fat Cat Books. Fat Cat Books is a used book store and senior cat adoption center also operated by the non-profit animal rescue Feline Advocates of Leon County.  What could be more purrfect than books and cats?! It is under five miles away from The Fat Cat Cafe and we highly recommend visiting both.
