Indiana is home to twelve cat cafes, with cafes in nearly every corner of the state. Indiana first leaped on to the Cat Cafe Map in 2016 with the opening of Nine Lives Cat Cafe in Indianapolis. Growth has been steady to where eight of the ten largest cities in the state now have cat cafes. 2023 was the cat’s pajamas with a 67% rise in the number of cafes. Even more impressive is the happy continuity of Indiana cat cafes, with no closures to date. In 2024, we are also celebrating the opening of The Catmosphere Cat Cafe & Adoption Center in Terre Haute and Pawz Pet Cafe in Carmel. Across the country, each cafe is a unique and delightful experience.
