Home to 27 cat cafes, Pennsylvania is now the leading state for cat cafes and cat lounges in the country. Pennsylvania cat cafes range from simple cat lounges to coffee shops and full service cafes. Mid-way into 2026, Western Pennsylvania has added two new cafes, including Johnstown’s full-service Rusty Cat Cafe and a cat lounge in Bridgeville run by Kitty Co. Cat Rescue. Most importantly, Pennsylvanians have shown paw-some support for cat cafes, with only two closures in two years.
