Iowa is home to one very wonderful cat cafe! Iowa’s very first cafe, Coffee Cats debuted in West Des Moines in 2020.
Iowa is a state that takes both their cats and their coffee seriously. Coffee Cats WDM follow s the winning formula of equal parts full service coffee shop and delightful cat lounge. They are open nearly 70 hours a week, which is extremely convenient for both local regulars and traveling cat cafe enthusiasts.
Note: The Sioux City cafe Coffee & Purrs is permanently closed as of February, 2024. As of January 5, 2024, The Siouxland Humane Society has removed their cats from Coffee & Purrs and ended their partnership.
