Connecticut Cat Cafe

Connecticut is home to four cat cafes! The Nutmeg State’s cat cafes are mostly in larger cities, from the state’s third largest city of New Haven to mid-sized Glastonbury and Torrington. One of the state’s oldest towns, Old Saybrook, has had their very own cat cafe since 2022. The number of cat cafes jumped by fifty percent in 2024, giving Connecticut a satisfying per-capita-cat-cafe of 1 cat cafe to every 918,000 Connecticuter!

Connecticut Cat Adoption & Cat Cafes

Looking to adopt a cat in Connecticut? Connecticut cat cafes are an exceptional place to meet adoptable cats. Since Mew Haven Cat Cafe opened as the state’s 1st cat cafe in 2018, cat cafes have emerged as a go-to place to meet adoptable kitties. In 2024, over 330 cats have been adopted from Connecticut cat cafes.

The four cafes in the state partner individually with rescue groups and shelters to provide adoptable kitties with an open, cage-free home while looking for their fur-ever humans. You get to visit with a variety of personalities in a relaxed, home-like setting.

  •  All cats are spayed or neutered
  • All cats are medically up-to-date
