North Carolina Cat Cafes

North Carolina is one of the leading states for cat cafes in the country! There are now fourteen North Carolina cat cafes. By the numbers, the TarHeel state is ranked #3, behind top-dog Florida and the second place held by California and  Pennsylvania. 2023 added five wonderful new cafes. In 2024, the new Purrfect Pour Cat Cafe opened in Lincolnton, which is in the northeast Charlotte metro area. Mac Tabby Cat Cafe is set to open a third location in 2024, which will make it the 1st cat cafe in the country with 3 locations!

In fact, the ambitious cat enthusiast could quite possibly visit a number cat cafes in one day. We suggest however a more leisurely tour, because, well, you could easily spend a whole day at each one!

While all of the North Carolina cat cafes are in the business of saving and adopting cats, no two are the same. Some are fancy, some are homey. All are fabulous.
