Home to 27 cat cafes, Pennsylvania is now the leading state for cat cafes and cat lounges in the country. Pennsylvania cat cafes range from simple cat lounges to coffee shops and full service cafes. The Keystone State has added five new cat cafes in 2025, including two by Round-a-Bout Bagels in the South Central region: Carlisle Cat Cafe and Chambersburg Cat Cafe. In the first months of 2026, Western PA has gained a wonderful new cat cafe in Johnstown, The Rusty Cat Cafe. Most importantly, Pennsylvanians have shown paw-some support for cat cafes, with only two closures in two years.
