Vermont is home to three cat cafes! Barre’s Kitty Korner Cafe opened as the state’s 1st cat cafe in 2020, followed by Queen City Lounge in Burlington in 2024. In 2025, Purrmont Cat Cafe opened as the state’s newest cafe.
While the Green Mountain State ranks 49th state in the country by population, Vermonters nonetheless enjoy among the highest per-capita-cat-cafe. As a leading state for pet lovers, it stands to reason that Vermont will also lead in cat cafes. In fact, 70% of Vermont residents own pets and 45% have at least one cat. We’re sure 100% of visitors will enjoy visiting Vermont cat cafes!
