Huntsville’s Only Cat Cafe 

Hey, y’all! Do you know Huntsville has their very own cat cafe?  It’s only been a minute since Birmingham’s  Gatos & Beans pounced on the scene in 2019 as Alabama’s first cafe, bringing the wonder of cat cafes to the deep South. Cattyshack, Inc. opened in the pandemic year of 2020, bringing cat-centric cafe joy to Rocket City. At this writing three years later, Cattyshack has placed over 600 cats in furever homes! There are now three Alabama cat cafes.

Cattyshack, Inc. has the purrfect home in the city’s Lowe Mill  ARTS & Entertainment facility.   The  cafe is a lively addition to the diverse local arts facility that currently houses  working artist studios, galleries, a theatre, community garden, performance venues, and more.    We can’t imagine a better lo-CAT-ion for the Huntsville cat cafe.

As home to NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville is already a destination. Cattyshack, Inc.  absolutely needs to be added to every Rocket City itinerary. 

What to Expect at the Huntsville Cat Cafe

What should you look forward to at Cattyshack? Why, cats of course! Fabulous, adoptable cats.  Cattyshack’s   slogan says it all: lounge, rescue, adopt.  Cattyshack   Lounge is a  place to relax in the company of free  roaming   cats. Enjoy a  beverage, maybe even a beer,  and a snack while visiting with the kit kats.  Cattyshack works with northern Alabama rescue groups to  provide  kitties a home-like setting while  waiting for their fur-ever homes.
