Huntsville, we have liftoff! Rocket City’s new cat cafe is now open! The global pandemic threw a little delay into Cattyshack , Inc.’s grand opening, but the Cattyshack is open with Covid-19 adjustments in place. For now, only groups of 2, 4, or 6 can visit each hour, for a set price. Families who quarantine together may cat lounge together! Masks are required, but you can buy a super-cute, Lowe Mill produced Cattyshack cat mask for $8!
Cattyshack, Inc.’s tagline says it all: Rescue! Lounge! Adopt! There is so much love and paws-itive energy in this delightful cat lounge!

Hey, y’all! There is a new Huntsville cat cafe opening this spring! It’s only been a minute since Birmingham’s Gatos & Beans pounced on the scene bringing the wonder of cat cafes to the deep South. Now Cattyshack, Inc. is set to bring cat cafe joy to Rocket City.

Cattyshack has found the purrfect home in the city’s Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment facility. The cafe will be a lively addition to the diverse local arts facility that currently houses working artist studios, galleries, a theatre, community garden, performance venues, and more. We can’t imagine a better lo-CAT-ion for the Huntsville cat cafe opening.
As home to NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville is already a destination. Cattyshack will absolutely need to be added to every Rocket City itinerary.
What to Expect at New Huntsville Cat Cafe
What should you look forward to at Cattyshack? Why, cats of course! Fabulous, adoptable cats. Cattyshack’s slogan says it all: lounge, rescue, adopt. Cattyshack Lounge is a place to relax in the company of free roaming cats. Enjoy a beverage, maybe even a beer, and a snack while visiting with the kit kats. Cattyshack works with northern Alabama rescue groups to provide kitties a home-like setting while waiting for their fur-ever homes.
