Kzoo Cat Cafe, Kalamazoo
Yes, there really is a Kalamazoo cat cafe! A favorite slogan for this western Michigan college town is, “Yes, there really is a Kalamazoo.” And now the K’zoo really has their very own cat cafe. The opening of the The Kzoo Cat Cafe makes Michigan a top destination for cat lovers. Enthusiasts now have five cat cafes in the Great Lakes State, including The Catfe Lounge, The Happy Cat Cafe, Karma Kat Cafe and Tiny Lions Lounge & Adoption Center.
Located near the Western Michigan University campus, the Kzoo Cat Cafe promises to be popular with students seeking a break from studies. To meet the anticipated enthusiasm for the cats and coffee concept, Kzoo has a reservation system to schedule your visit. They are open 7 days a week: 6pm-10pm, Monday-Friday; and 10am-10pm, Saturday and Sunday. To maintain a calm environment for the cats, Kzoo has a limit of 15 people in the cafe at a time.
Like other cafes, Kzoo is partnering with a local rescue organization, Kalamazoo Animal Rescue, to help more cats find permanent homes.
